The Workshop is a cloud-based system. All content is stored in AmazonS3 and Limelight. We use the Amazon S3 cloud storage server (or Simple Storage Service) for its 99.9% monthly uptime guarantee, reliability, cost-efficiency (as payment is only required for the storage used), and wide variety of storage maintenance tasks. A backup of our servers is done daily on Amazon’s S3, reducing an already-slim chance of downtime. Our video processing is enabled by Limelight in the cloud – from video encoding to image and metadata extraction. It scales up and down to meet the demands of Workshop customers. Limelight is a dream network, second to none, with a private global fiber backbone, connected to 1000 last-mile networks. AmazonS3 and Limelight fuse to form a rock solid platform for speeding through all content and delivering reliably around the corner and around the world.

The Workshop provides four default layout templates for you to use – with the freedom to specify colors of 14 different elements (from the page background and caption text to the heading backgrounds and search highlighting), font, icons (light or dark) and more. You can also choose from five pre-set color schemes. Alternatively, we can build custom templates for your organization. Just contact us and we can setup templates that perfectly mesh with your own website’s styles, colors, and textures. You can pick the elements you want to use in your custom template and we can size, position and style them to achieve the exact effect you’re aiming for. The possibilities are limitless – contact us with your design file or ask us to design it for you.
Back to the top »Google Analytics is integrated into every iframe you embed (videos, presentations, list views, etc.). Access usage stats for all videos or zoom in on specific videos for a crystal-clear picture of how users interact with your video content. Video heat maps help you visualize the portions of your video which are hottest, and where users drop off. Video views, location, duration, mobile, bandwidth, and average % viewed are just some of the details outlined in analytics reports. Check out the default 30 day view, or customize the date range to pull out the exact timeframe you want to measure.
Back to the top »Absolutely. The Workshop's lightning-fast and powerful search tool sifts through all content related to your video – titles, descriptions, captions, slide data, chapter labels, speaker information and more - to direct users to their precise points of interest. As an added benefit, one hour of captioned video typically yields about 7000 words, attracting new audiences from organic search results and maximizing your organization's exposure.
Back to the top »Presentations can be embedded in your existing site. We give you a few lines of code and you paste it where you see fit. Copy-paste is all the tech effort you need to get video presentations integrated into your website. Embed a list view of all your presentations or integrate a comprehensive search results page within seconds. Bind presentations to a domain to restrict unauthorized access to your content or request log-in authentication for member-only material.
